Fate/Samurai Remnant Record's Fragment: Yagyu Sword Chronicles will feature a younger Yagyu Munenori

Koei Tecmo and Type-Moon have formally unveiled the second DLC pack for Fate/Samurai Remnant. After a very brief teaser last month, the companies have revealed the new DLC's full title: Record's Fragment: Yagyu Sword Chronicles. This pack will be released on April 18, and it will add Yagyu Tajima-no-kami Munenori as a new playable Saber-class Rogue Servant.

For additional context, Fate/Samurai Remnant takes place in the year 1651, and Yagyu Munenori historically died a few years before in 1646. That fact thus allowed him to be summoned into the game's world as a Heroic Spirit, just like the protagonist Iori's adoptive parent and teacher Miyamoto Musashi.

Although Yagyu Munenori has also appeared in Fate/Grand Order as a Saber-class Servant, he made the appearance with his older looks in that mobile game. This DLC will feature a new depiction of the Heroic Spirit in his younger years.

The base game has been available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The first Record's Fragment DLC, Keian Command Championship, is also already available. The game still has one more DLC pack in production, according to its season pass.
