Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Guide - Every Character Listed, Plus how to recruit them
Fire Emblem's strategy, turn-based action is pretty damn exciting and engaging all on its own, but one of the things that really enhances it is by having a cast of characters you actually care about out on the battlefield - doubly so if you're playing on a higher difficulty and have the terrifying prospect of permanant character death enabled. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is no exception, and as we noted in our review it has a decent if predictable cast of characters for you to play with.
After a few hours with the game one major question that might be on your lips will be... well, who can I recruit? When can I recruit them? And where can I find them? We figured we'd give you a hand with that, so here we are.
In the rest of this page below you'll find we've listed all 34 main characters that can be recruited in the game, plus details on their starting class, when in the game you'll find them, and how exactly you can recruit them once they're available. We're nice like that. Don't forget that if you want help understanding Shadows of Valentia's character classes or unit promotion and class changes we can help you with that too.
Remember that Fire Emblem Echoes has two distinct armies assembled under Alm and Celica - so we've grouped the recruitment below by the army and character they can join under - 17 each for the two protagonists. Minor story spoilers will feature out of necessity in the character recruitment details - so consider yourself warned.
