Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes 100% Walkthrough - Complete Minimalist step-by-step guide

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a spiritual successor to the Suikoden JRPG series, now available for consoles and PC. If you are looking to 100% the game and get all achievements, we're here to help.

This walkthrough is a minimalist bullet point guide for those who don't want to dive into a dense lengthy walkthrough, but also for those who don't want to miss anything that will prevent you from getting 100% bestiary and chests. 

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a pretty easy RPG, especially on its normal difficulty selection, so anyone with RPG experience should be able to get through the game without too much trouble. Remember to keep your mages in the back row, physical attackers in the front row, heal when needed, use items (they're cheap!) and all that.

What this walkthrough will do:

• Offer a minimalist walkthrough so you know what you need to do at any point in the game.
• Point out treasure chests and enemies so you can complete the game 100%.

What the walkthrough will not do:

• Offer anything more than the most rudimentary introduction strategies for bosses or party build.
• In-depth Dungeon Walkthroughs. The dungeons in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes are mostly very straightforward. Use the in-game map and you will usually not get lost. I'll will help out some of the trickier ones.

1. Opening Mission in the Northern Runebarrows

• Arenside - Recruit Automatic party members, shop for items, then head to Northern Forest. There's nothing else to get in the town for now.
  • Permanently joined members include Garr, Mio, and Lian. Seign and Hildi are joining temporarily.
  • Generally speaking, you should talk to all NPCs, as occasionally they will give items. I will note the items I found in this guide.
  • Star Item: Herb Chicken Recipe sold at Arenside General Store

• Grum County-North
  • This is effectively the game's world map, which is divided into sections. For now, you can only head to the Northern Forest.
    • There are never chests on the world map, but later in the game, you might find a treasure chest in a random battle on the world map. However, there's none in this section.
  • There is a Fishing Spot here, but you cannot actually fish until later once you have a fishing rod.

  • This guide won’t tell you when you build parts of your village. You’ll get plenty of materials and money to do so. Just build whatever you feel like.

  • Since this dungeon is a bit trickier, here’s a mini walkthrough.
    • Grab 1500 Baqua chest (1/11) and proceed to the first room
    • Rotate the room such that you can enter the first door to the left in the corridor in front of you (the pedestal will be red-ish)
    • Head to the platform and ride it
    • Follow the path and press the buttons to get the Ruby Brooch (2/11)
    • Examine the semi-circle at the far south, then exit right with the platform
    • Get chest Magic Drop x2 (3/11), continue to be back at the front.
    • With the pedestal set to ‘red’ again, enter the first door on the left, then move north and exit back to the main corridor through the other door, then enter the middle door on the right. In this room, ride the lift.
    • Follow the path again to another button/gear puzzle. Get Tanzanite Brooch (4/11) and continue. Examine the semicircle, then exit left.
    • Get chest 6x Quality Healing Herb (5/11), then continue back to the start of the corridor
    • Set the pedestal such that the whole display is colored yellow, then head RIGHT, backwards through the side path. You’ll end up in the corridor again. First, head to the fan-platform to the north to be in a dead end with Palenight Mail (6/11). Then, go back to the corridor and head into the first room on the right. Get the Topaz Brooch (7/11), then continue through another fan-platform to a dead end to get Rune of Fire Enchantment (8/11). Backtrack to the pedestal.
    • Click the Pedestal until there’s a fan immediately across the gap in front of you. You should know what to do here, head RIGHT and get to that fan by backtracking through the right side-path again. Get chest with Rune of Sidewinder (9/11). Back to the pedestal.
    • Don’t change the pedestal (keep it such that there’s a fan-platform across the gap). Head LEFT. Follow the path, and once you return to the corridor area, you’ll be able to cross a bridge (from the right-center room to the left-center room) to get to a new fan-platform. Get chest Rune of Quick Slash (10/11), then return again.
    • Change the pedestal such that you can enter the last room on the left (will show a red-orange bar in the center). Get 1500 baqua (11/11) and ride the platform. Continue on the path through a few platforms and click the triangle floor switch.
      • Make sure to get the Random Battle Chest in the area with the triangle floor switch
    • Change the pedestal so you can enter the last room on the right (the pedestal will have a yellow-green bar on the bottom). You’ll have to zig-zag through the corridor rooms to get there. You’ll find a switch that Kallathor will hit for you.
    • You can make your way through now. Click the pedestal a few times to make a straight path.
  • Kallathor will officially join at the completion of the dungeon

7.  Heading to Euchrisse

• Back at Your Town
  • Recruit Chron by simply speaking with him near the southern exit

  • Recruit Riufan by beating him with Nowa in a one-on-one battle

  • Speak with Lam to recruit her. You'll have to speak to her several times.

  • Talk to Code L in Rune Shop, he wants you to find Rune of Currents
    • This is dropped by a story boss in a moment. We'll be back

9. First Teleportation Tour

• Treefolk Village
  • Talk to an NPC near the trade post to get the Grilled Tutuva Recipe. Return to Kurtz in Hishahn to recruit him.
• Arenside
  • Talk to Glen, beat him in a card game to recruit
• Eltisweiss
  • Meet Reid and Crash in the SW corner. Then head to the Beigoma mansion (SE side of Eltisweiss), pick your Beigoma top, and beat Reid in a duel. He won’t join yet.
  • This starts the Beigoma side quest, which is fairly lengthy and requires winning several duels. This is much easier to do later in the game when you can gain access to better tops, so it's honestly best to just let this sit for now.
    • Specifically, I would start Beigoma after The Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu. I'll make a note of this later.
  • Treasure Chest: Pick up the Faded Book, Chapter 20 while you’re here
• Kyshiri Village
  • Talk to an NPC in a house to get Strawberry Milk Recipe
• Alterverden Village
  • Talk to Falward in the town hall and give him 15 Healing Herbs to recruit him
• Werne Village
  • Talk to the old woman to learn about Yume, who is at Redthroat Ridge
  • Talk to Frida to recruit her
  • Talk to Pieter to recruit him
  • Go to Redthroat Ridge and talk to Yume to recruit her
• Abandoned Mine
  • Talk to Galdorf and show him Palenight Mail to recruit (has to be unequipped, and don’t worry, he won’t take it).
    • You should have gotten this in the Proving Grounds, but there's another in the Abandoned Mine in a search spot, if you need it, near Ormond.
  • Talk to Hiro to recruit him. He's in the same place you left him
  • Talk to Ormond and give him three Iron Ores to recruit him. He's in the section north of the save point north of the bridge that was once blocked by a minecart.
• Mountain Pass
  • At the NW side of the area, talk to Maureus with a character with 300 MP and recruit him (a level 30+ healer like Francesca or Falward with a Turquoise Brooch might work)

10. Hishahn Old Town and the Battle for Euchrisse

  • After you are done exploring the world with Carrie, speak with Perrielle in the Inn
  • During the events, you'll automatically recruit Perrielle and Janquis 
  • There will be a sequence of events at the Palace, during this you can speak with Sayid Ali, a man in a green turban, who will have some dialogue and move away. 
    • Speaking with Sayid Ali at a few points throughout the game ultimately leads to a Rune in miniquest. We'll note his other appearances as they come.
  • After the events, you’ll be tasked to go to Hishahn Old Town

  • You'll need Carrie for this dungeon area

  • Head to the drill training area (behind the resource depot once it is unlocked) and see a scene about a Dragon (Chandra), who you'll recruit later
  • Leave your town again through the front entrance and you’ll run into CJ. After some scenes, you’ll be tasked to head to the Runebarrows near your city. I'll outline this dungeon in the next section.

  • When ready, rest in your room. Walk around your castle
    • Note: This can be glitchy in events not triggering as they should. Don't return to Nowa's room until you see all the scenes listed below.
    • Scene at roof (make sure to talk to Seign), 3F, 3F statue courtyard, 2F west, 2F balcony, 2F west war room, 2F east, return to Nowa’s room
  • When ready, head to the Great Hall.
  • Legion Dux Aldric Vs. Legion Nowa
    • You’ll gain a bunch of reinforcements in this battle as part of the story
    • Don’t bother fighting the revenant enemies too much, they’ll disappear after turn 3.
