Retro-throwback style RPG 8-Bit Adventures 2 launches for PC on January 31
Critical Games has announced that 8-Bit Adventures 2 will launch on January 31 for PC (Steam, GOG). Console versions for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch will launch later in the year.
8-Bit Adventures 2 is a retro-throwback style RPG, with a visual style reminiscent of classic Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. However, this classic aesthetic is paired with more modern sensibilities, such as the ability to save anywhere and no random encounters. While the game is technically a sequel to 8-Bit Adventures: The Forgotten Journey, the developer states that newcomers can start with this one.
