New South Park: The Stick of Truth screenshots and details
Obsidian has been mostly quiet about South Park: The Stick of Truth since THQ's closing, but new information has finally been available via a pre-E3 event, courtesy of Game Informer.
The game will employ on-screen encounters where bumping into an enemy triggers a battle. As common in JRPGs, the battle will take place on a seperate scren and utilize a typical turn-based battle system. Button prompts reminscient of the Mario RPG titles will also be available in battle.
The field outside of battle will employ puzzles and require creative thinking to advance. In the demo, the player must get past an Elf blocking the way, which can be accomplished through a number of different means including using the sprinkler system to short out the fan blocking a pushing technique.
New screenshots have also been released. Check them out below.
South Park: The Stick of Truth will be published by Ubisoft and is set to release later this year.
