Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Armor guide: all shields, gauntlets, helms, belts and getting the best armor

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles takes a unique approach to armor equipment compared to most other Final Fantasy games - leaning into the game's character creation system to create unique classes of character, separated by their race, each with their own unique specialialities. 

That means that in FFCC, each character you use will have two types of armor: their main clothing/armor and their class-specific armor, which is based on your race of choice in character creation. The Clavats use Shields, for instance, while the melee-focused Lilties get armored gloves. The speedy, thieving Selkies get Belts, while resident magic experts Yukes protect their big ol' brains with big metal helms.

That means a list of the best armor in Crystal Chronicles will be determined in large part by your choice of tribe - and there's a different set of armors for each. On this page, we list all the armor, handily broken into five key categories: the general armor everyone can equip then one armor list for each of the specialist armor types for each race in FFCC.

Armor is of course just one factor of your character strength and progression alongside picking out the best weapon and a favorite from the accessory list.
