Genshin Impact Memory of Dust: how to get it, and what its uses are
While character banners are always exciting to pull on, it's important Genshin diehards don't let those weapon banners go unnoticed. In the latest banner rotation "Epitome Invocation," Mihoyo introduced both the Skyward Harp and Memory of Dust as 5-star rewards. While the bow is one we've seen before, Memory of Dust may have you raising a brow at its effects and purpose. We'll detail the banner, its possible uses, and a stat rundown on the Memory of Dust and why you may want to try your luck for the latest 5-star weapon.
Memory of Dust: Uses and Weapon Details
Memory of Dust is a catalyst weapon with some interesting perks that may feel like an odd fit for most party members. However, it seems like the banner may actually be perfect for Ninguang and her geo abilities. It's no secret that geo isn't the most desired element in the game right now, but if we're thinking about the future and Zhongli's debut in the coming weeks, then building a secondary geo character may not be a bad bet for the elemental resonance.
Ninguang also creates her own shield any time she hits an elemental enemy, which makes Memory of Dust feel like a natural fit. The catalyst increases shield strength, adds additional ATK on hit, and the effect increases if the user already has a shield up. This, coupled with Zhongli for elemental resonance, may make Ninguang much more appealing now when comparing her to the competition. It seems Memory of Dust may have given us a new direction to build a 4-star character, which always feels like a safer bet when it's easier to obtain those extra constellations.
Right now, you can pull for Memory of Dust and the Skyward Harp until December 1. And even if you don't obtain those sought after 5-stars, the banner included a few 4-star weapon staples like Rust that get the job done.
Regardless, while some may dismiss its niche use, Memory of Dust still doesn't seem like anything to sneeze at. If you're interested in adding that benched Ninguang to your roster, check out the catalyst's starting and maxed out stats.
