Cyberpunk 2077: how to respec and reset your spent perk points
CD Projekt RED kept its promises: for all the GTA or Deus Ex style trappings,Cyberpunk 2077 is a full-blown RPG with a large amount of character customization to worry about. That means, naturally, some of you will end up wanting to respec character in order to refund and re-spend perk points.
The great thing about Cyberpunk's open-ended and in-depth stats and RPG progression is that you can do what you want. There's no named classes for protagonist V, but instead you build your own character out over time by choosing perks and attribute points that work for the type of character you want.
Naturally, this means you'll be experimenting a lot - and that means you might go wrong and you might want to start over and get your perk points back to try a different build. Luckily, there is a respec item in Cyberpunk 2077 - and below we explain how to get it.
Cyberpunk 2077 Respec: how to get the Tabula E-Rasa and reset your perks (No Longer Needed in 2.0)

In Cyberpunk 2077, getting a respec is as simple as buying it - but unfortunately, it's incredibly expensive. The item you're after is the Tabula E-Rasa, a legendary item that's technically classed as a progression shards. Most progression shards in the game give you another perk skill point to spend - but this one instead resets your perks entirely, acting as a respec item.
Or, to quote the official item description, the Tabula E-Rasa respect item, "Restores all spent Perk Points, allowing you to redistribute them."
As the title suggests, it only works on perk points - so it doesn't change or reset your attribute points, despite the fact that your attribute point levels do have an impact on your available perks. Simply buy it and use it to be able to re-spend all those hard-earned perk points, however.
The downside? Well, that'll be the price. The Tabula E-Rasa respec item costs 100,000 Eurodollars, making it one of the most expensive items in Cyberpunk 2077. That's a whole lot of eddies.
If that doesn't deter you, the item is found for sale at most Ripperdocs across Night City. It doesn't appear in the main Cyberware menu that first opens when you visit a ripperdoc - instead, tab on over to the 'Trade' menu, which is a shop that sells other Cyberware-related accessories. Here you can sell stuff to the ripperdoc and buy items, including an ever-changing set of upgrades and items, plus the Tabula E-Rasa.
As far as we can tell, the item appears at pretty much all Ripperdocs any time after you've completed the prologue, which ends with the big heist and the events that introduce Johnny Silverhand.
As it stands, we haven't found an item that'll let you reset your attribute points, short of starting a whole new file. We'll update this page if we discover that's possible - but after over a hundred hours with the game for review, it seems unlikely we've missed such an option.
