Pokemon Legends Arceus: Hisuian Growlithe Location & How to Evolve to Arcanine
Growlithe and Arcanine have long been series favorite Pokemon, and the new Hisuian forms for both of them are seemingly no different. Like many other Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus, however, they can be a little difficult to track down. You can only find them in one section of one map - and beyond that, there's still the matter of evolving into Hisuian Arcanine. Thankfully, we've got all the details you need to know to add this adorable canine to your Pokemon collection.
Where to find Hisuian Growlithe in Pokemon Legends Arceus
You can only find Hisuian Growlithe on one of the game's 5 maps - the Cobalt Coastlands - and only in one small section of it. This makes it one of the rarest Pokemon in the game, as most of the critters have at least a couple of different locations they spawn - even Cherrim, which can be hard to find, can pop from multiple trees.
To find a Hisuian Growlithe, you'll want to search at Windbreak Stand for a chance to catch one. Reach this small area and there should be a bunch of them all about, ready for you to catch. We've got the map location, as well as an example screenshot, marked below for you to confirm you're on the right path:
The usual Pokemon catching rules apply for getting your hands on these cute little chaps. For the record, regular Growlithe is not in the game - only this new fire and rock-type variant. Which is fine, as this new design is super cool anyway.
How to evolve Hisuian Growlithe into Hisuian Arcanine
While there are plenty of older Pokemon with different evolution requirements in Pokemon Legends Arceus, thankfully Arcanine is not one of them. Much like its Kanto counterpart, you'll simply need a Fire Stone to evolve your Hisuian Growlithe into Hisuian Arcanine, an even more powerful form of your new canine companion.
You can find these either through trading in MP through the Item Exchange, or as random drops during Space-Time Distortions. Unlike some evolution stones, unfortunately, this one isn't available via any side quest rewards. There is also a chance that the Ginko Guild might be selling one at any given point of time, but these two are probably your best bet.
There you have it - Hisuian Growlithe and Arcanine are an excellent addition to your team, and well worth the mild effort required to catch one. Good luck!
