Pokemon Legends Arceus: How to get Hisuian Lilligant by catching & evolving Petilil
While Pokemon Legends Arceus doesn't lack in regional variants of Pokemon that either add or supplement a grass-typing, Hisuian Lilligant feels like the one that maybe falls through the cracks. Grass-Fighting isn't exactly an uncommon typing at this point, but nonetheless, there's a charm to its aggressive dancing style.
It's also a major component of the ongoing story of the Lord and Lady Pokemon fatured in Legends Arceus - and after fighting and calming the one that you can't catch, you might be desperate to add a Lilligant of your very own to the team, just as with Hisuian Arcanine, Hisuian Electrode, and some of the rideable Pokemon like Ursaluna and Basculegion. If you're trying to add one to your collection, either for Pokedex completion or to fill a spot on your party, we've got you covered.
Where to Find Petilil
While this guide is really about getting Hisuian Lilligant and we've already mentioned where to find a Petilil elsewhere thanks to its role as 'The Three Leaf Pokemon' in The Search for Bitter Leaves quest, it doesn't hurt to reiterate potential catch locations of Petilil in this guide, given you'll need to find one in order to evolve it to Lilligant.
You'll be able to find a Petilil in either the Holm of Trials or the Cottonsedge Prairie in the Crimson Mirelands. Since Cottonsedge Prairie is the more accessible of the two, we're going to find ours there. Thankfully, they're a very common spawn within the location - head to the cotton fields, which are also pictured below, and you'll find a fair crop of the grass-type Pokemon to choose from. As with most Pokemon like this, their spawns are more common in the daytime.
How to Evolve Petilil into Hisuian Lilligant
Evolving your new Petilil into an Hisuian Lilligant is fairly simple. It's another one of the Pokemon that has an item-based evolution method; in this instance, to evolve to Lilligant, use a Sun Stone. You just need to actually have a stone.
There are a number of ways you can find one; it's a reward for clearing Request #85, for one. You can also exchange MP for one at the Item Exchange, potentially find one in a Space-Time Distortion, find it for sale at the Ginko Guild alongside the mysterious mechanical items, and more. Simply put, you've got options.
Once you've acquired a Sun Stone, use it on your Petilil and you're done. Compared to some of the other evolution requirements in the game, Lilligant feels blissfully straightforward. Petilil to Hisuian Lilligant is also the only evolution in the game that uses the Sun Stone - so you only need one, and you don't have to choose between it and another evolution once you've got the stone.
