Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: How to enter and activate the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower
Unlike the other Skyview Towers in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the one for the Gerudo Highlands is special; while many of the contraptions across the land require you to either unblock the entrance to the tower itself, or fix something wrong with its mechanism, the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower's entrance is completely buried under snow. So, while there's not mechanically wrong with the tower - you won't be entering, let alone activating it, the conventional way.
Thankfully, there is a solution - it just requires a bit of roundabout thinking and some clever engineering, and the specific solution isn't actually all that different from the idea behind unblocking the entrance for the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower - though it's also more complicated than the Upland Zorana Tower.
How to unlock Gerudo Highlands Tower in Zelda TOTK
There's two things you'll notice upon reaching the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower; one, there's no entrance to be found, although the rest of the tower is very conspicuously poking out from what is clearly the result of a very rough winter storm. The second, is the tent off to the side beside it; if you opt to inspect it, you should notice a journal from Hudson Construction, about how indeed the Tower's entrance has been snowed in, and more importantly, that the construction crew had stored their construction materials in a nearby cave.
It's this cave you'll want to look for; and thankfully for us, it's almost directly north of the tower. Upon entering you'll find those construction materials, as well as a flowing river. You'll probably recognize the materials in question; more specifically, you'll want to grab some wood to repurpose as a makeshift raft for the river. You won't need anything fancy; even just one of the planks of wood should be enough.
The trip should be quick, and not too bumpy all things considered. After a trip down a waterfall you'll find yourself at the end of the cave, and if you look at both the structure in front of you, as well as the ceiling of the cave in particular, you'll notice that you are in-fact right underneath the Skyview Tower! At this point it should be clear what to do, now it's merely a matter of positioning.
This next part is a bit tricky, but you'll want to maneuver a block of wood directly underneath all of the support beams for the tower so that you can create a platform to stand on. Once you've done so, simply ascend through the tower's floor to find yourself within the inner chamber - which, thankfully, still functions. You can even unlock the door to find that there's a small alcove directly outside of the tower - regardless, you can now interact with the terminal to activate the tower, and proceed to map the surrounding area. It was a little bit of extra work to do so, but congrats on activating the tower!
