Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Hisuian Growlithe: How to catch Hisuian Growlithe

One of the recurring trends with the recently released Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is the inclusion of many Hisuian forms of Pokemon introduced in 2022's Pokemon Legends: Arceus. One of the Pokemon in question is Hisuian Growlithe; alongside Kantonian Growlithe, which was also added with the latest patch. However, catching a Hisuian Growlithe of your own is a little complicated.

How to catch Hisuian Growlithe

There's a short answer and a long answer to this question. The short answer is you'll be gifted one from Perrin once completing her sidequest chain. The long answer is you'll have to catch 150+ of the Pokemon in the Kitakami Pokedex, and complete her quest to capture Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Once you complete the quest, return to her and as thanks she'll award you a Hisuian Growlithe as thanks for helping reignite her passion for photography.

So in essence... if you want a Hisuian Growlithe, you'll have to complete all of the requirements to catch Ursaluna. This includes:

• Speaking to Perrin, where she will ask you to catch 150+ Pokemon from the Kitakami Pokedex
• Beat Perrin in a Pokemon Battle
• Complete her minigame to catalog the Pokemon present in the Timeless Woods during Foggy Nights
• Defeat Bloodmoon Ursaluna in a Titan battle

Then once you've finished the entire questline, return to Perrin to receive your free fire dog. Cherish it, adore it, love it. Have fun with your (eventual) Hisuian Arcanine in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!
