At any time while operating a vehicle, V can whip out a weapon and do some drive-by shooting. The update and expansion also adds a range of special Weaponized Vehicles - a new category of Cyberpunk 2077 vehicle that contains built-in weapons. Getting a free Cyberpunk 2077 Weaponized Vehicle through the "I'm In Love With My Car" Quest

Cyberpunk 2077 has a number of ways for V to acquire vehicles without paying a single eddie to AutoFixer. From completing quests to finding secret cars hidden in corners of the city, V can acquire quite the sizeable garage. Now that garage will include a brand-new Weaponized Vehicle, the Quadra Type-66 "Hoon".

Acquiring the vehicle comes as part of the very quick Side Gig quest 'I'm In Love With My Car." The quest itself kicks off when you visit a warehouse in the Northside neighborhood of Night City.

You can even visit the area by accident, as I did while pursuing a target for a different quest, "Epistrophy: Northside."

As soon as you pass through the quest area, Johnny will pop up and direct your attention to a vehicle parked in the middle of the warehouse.

He'll encourage you to find a way to take it for yourself by searching the area. Do as he says and poke around for a container holding some random loot and a car key. Once you pick up the car key, the car will unlock and the customized Quadra Type-66 "Hoon" is yours to keep. From there you'll be able to drive it, use it to access your stash, and summon it to your location like any other vehicle you own.

How does the free Weaponized Vehicle perform?

The Quadra Type-66 "Hoon" is a new vehicle added alongside the content of the Phantom Liberty expansion. As a variant of Quadra's Type-66 line, it's a powerful muscle car with fast acceleration, a fair amount of weight for a sedan, and a high top speed. It's also a Nomad-customized vehicle, similar to the Quadra Type-66 "Javelina" and "Reaver". That means the windshield and windows have been replaced with an armored "CrystalDome" internal video screen system, and the body and driving characteristics have been tuned for riding out in the Badlands.

Like other Nomad vehicles from the recent Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update, it has a mounted weapon system, in this case a pair of bumper-aligned forward rifles. Just press the "Draw Weapon" key while driving and a pair of laser sights will deploy, allowing you to fire.

Compared to other vehicles you can acquire for free in the game, the Quadra Type-66 "Hoon" is quite the beast, and easily one of the faster, tougher car types you can find in Cyberpunk 2077. It might not be the deadliest, considering how Phantom Liberty also adds some fully militarized vehicles to the roster, but it's hard to beat the price tag.
