Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Aquarius Quest Guide & where to get the Pieces of The Queen of Sheba's Sword
This guide for Kingdom Come : Deliverance offers tips on two separate quests in the game: Aquarius and The Queen of Sheba's Sword.
The Aquarius quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is initiated by talking to the Bailiff in Rattay. You need to find jobs for the Skalitz refugees, and you have to decide who gets what job. You need 3 people to carry water, 2 people to work the latrines (aka 'carry shit'), and one cook for the local tavern.
While there's no way to outright fail the Aquarius quest, there is an ideal solution that will make the Bailiff happy, as well as award the player with a piece of Queen of Sheba's sword - which is needed for an otherwise unrelated activity. It is possible to permanently miss one of the sword pieces if you do now proceed with the Aquarius quest correctly.
Kingdom Come Deliverance - Assigning Jobs in Aquarius
Once you start the quest, you first are tasked to speak with Alex to get some ideas about how to find employment for the refugees. Exhuast his dialogue, and then speak with Konard Hagen in the Tavern to learn he needs a cook.
The cook you want is Agnes, who is found in the church close to the alchemist shop. She doesn't want to leave her position because she is waiting for Father Francis to return. You have two options here, you can travel to Sasau and speak to Francis and then return (all positions marked on your map) or you can follow this dialogue from the outset with Agnes: "And why not?" -> "He doesn't need a housekeeper anymore." -> "I shouldn't talk about it." In either case, Agnes will now be available to cook.
Once that's done, you'll need to meet with people who gather around the Rathaus during the day. Speak to each person about the job openings and ask about a reward. Most crucially, you need to speak with Pickman and make sure he agrees to reward you with a piece of the Queen of Sheba's Sword. You'll know when you've finished speaking with everybody because they will begin to walk away as soon as you finish speaking with the last person you need to.
Now, go talk with the Bailiff and choose the following jobs:
- Pickman - Carry Water. Be SURE to have asked for a reward from Pickman beforehand to get a piece of Queen of Sheba's sword!
- Vincent - Carry Water
- Tonda - Carry Water
- Rock - Empty Latrine
- Antonia - Empty Latrine
As for the cook, choose Agnes once you have convinced her.
And that should both complete Aquarius and make sure you can finish The Queen of Sheba's Sword later on. You need to find Pickman to get the reward - he'll be either near the refugee camp near the front gate, or along the path the the river, collecting water in his new job.
Kingdom Come Deliverance: Queen of Sheba's Sword piece locations
Once you get to Sasau, you can pick up an activity from the Sasau Weaponsmith to put together the Queen of Sheba's sword, which requires you to collect five pieces from around the map. You can find them as follows:
- Pickpocket the blacksmith south of the Monastery in Sasau.
- Purchase from Ledetchko blacksmith.
- Steal from a chest (easy lockpick) in the weaponsmith's house in Rattay.
- The Blacksmith in the quarry NW of Talmberg talks about a piece, but it is actually found on a barrel in his house in the city. You can find it at the image below. It is just laying on top of the barrel.
- The piece from the Aquarius quest. Find Pickman with the refugees, along the path to the city, or outside near the river and speak with him. This piece is missable if you did not request a reward during Aquarius or didn't give Pickman the correct job.
Sadly, the Queen of Sheba's sword is, honestly, useless due to its low durability, but at least you finished another quest in your log book.
