Persona 4 Golden: Yumi & Ayane (Sun) social link choices & unlock guide

Every social link in Persona 4 Golden involves choice, but the Sun Arcana s-link involves a choice right at the top between two characters: Yumi Ozawa from the drama club or Ayane Matsunaga from the Music Club.

Whichever character you choose, each character has their own storyline and their own set of conversation choices for each s-link rank, and we’ve got all the answers to raise your rank to the max of 10 quickly.

Persona 4 Golden Sun Social Link Guide

Much as in the Fellow Athletes (Strength) s-link, the Sun social link with Yumi Ozawa or Ayane Matsunaga is a branching choice where you’ll get to know one of these two characters, with both having different conversation choices. This page is split in two because of that, with half covering the Yumi social link and half covering the Ayane social link.

The guide still features all of the social link ranks and conversation choices, presented in as spoiler-free a manner as possible, and it also details how and when you can enter into a romantic lovers relationship with these two - or, indeed, avoid it.

The numbers next to each choice detail how many points you get towards ranking up your social link from that answer, based on the amount you get when you have a Sun arcana Persona in your current stock, which gets you a point bonus. The points gained will be slightly less without this.

You can spend time with Yumi and Ayane on Monday, Tuesday or Friday, but noy on rainy days.

Rank 1:

To start the Social Link, regardless of if it’s with Yumi (Drama) or Ayane (Music), you’ll need to wait until April 25. On this date you’ll be able to join either the Drama Club or the Music Club at school.
Depending on which club you pick, the conversations on each rank will be different, even though you’ll get to know both characters. We list both below.
