Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: All Treasure Trove items at Johnny's Seaside Inn

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is jam-packed with optional challenges, huge maps to explore, and way more minigames than anyone expected. Naturally, there will come a point where the game will offer a tease of a reward for completing all of these challenges. This includes not only earning the highest rank on every mini-game, but completing all challenges in Hard Mode, completing absolutely everything in the Combat Simulator, and even being extra thorough about digging through numerous dig spots while on the back of a chocobo.

Here, we'll lay out all of the challenges you'll need to complete in order to earn every single trophy on the wall of Costa Del Sol's Seaside Inn.

The Saga of the Seaside Inn

You'll first encounter the Seaside Inn as part of Chapter 6. The party will run into old pal Johnny, who seems to be, once again, in over his head has he is now the proprietor of a ramshackle inn on the outskirts of Costa Del Sol. Starting in Chapter 7, you'll be able to begin the quest The Saga of the Seaside Inn. This quest has multiple parts that you'll be able to make progress on right away, though you won't be able to fully complete it until Chapter 9 and you have access to the Corel Desert and the Buggy.

Upon completion of the quest, you'll be able to view a sort of collectibles gallery known as the Treasure Trove whenever you go back to revisit the Seaside Inn. While thorough players will be able to make significant progress as soon as they complete the aforementioned quest, fully finishing the list will likely be one of the last things a player can possibly accomplish in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. As an extra point of mystery, a mysterious chest will tease players, and won't be able to be opened until all 88 items are collected. What could be inside?

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: All Treasure Trove Trophies

Thankfully, the game itself will give details about how to complete all of the Treasure Trove challenges available in the Seaside Inn at any point, and will even make it clear if the trophy in question is even available to the party at their current point in the story. For specific details though, we have the whole list of available trophies and their unlock conditions listed below:

  1. Fledgling Chocobo Jockey
    • Earned by getting the best time from Hustle de Chocobo at Bill’s Ranch in the Grasslands. You are required to participate as part of Chapter 2, and can retry by speaking to the yellow chocobo outside the ranch.
  2. Soaring Chocobo Jockey
    • Earned by getting the high score from all three Training Courses from Glide de Chocobo in Cosmo Canyon Region. You'll partake in these courses during the sidequest in the area, Bonds of Trust, during Chapter 10.
  3. Salientian Seal of Mastery
    • Beat the best score in Jumpfrog - Whirligig Whack in Under Junon. Unlocked during Chapter 4 after the quest Calling All Frogs.
  4. Peerless Polliwog
    • Beat the best score in Jumpfrog - Ribbiting Rollers in Under Junon, unlocked in Chapter 12.
  5. Dolphin Stuntman
    • Earn the best time in the Dolphin Show minigame in Under Junon. Unlocked in Chapter 12 as part of the quest Tides of War and Worry.
  6. Pride of the Condor Cavalry
    • Complete all Fort Condor stages on Hard mode in Junon Region, unlocked after completing all Phenomenon Intel in the area.
  7. Award for Outstanding Performance
    • During the Junon Parade in Chapter 4, earn the highest possible score. Check out our Parade Formation guide for tips on getting the best score.
  8. Presidential Commendation
    • During the Junon Parade in Chapter 4, earn the highest possible score. Check out our Parade Formation guide for tips on getting the best score.
  9. QB Tournament Champion
    • During Chapter 5, win the Queen’s Blood Tournament and earn the Shinra-8 Tournament Trophy Key Item.
Some Key Items earned during the story will be displayed as trophies in the Treasure Trove
  1. Buccaneer Blaster
    • Earn the high score from the Pirate’s Rampage: Brigantine stage in Costa del Sol.
  2. Pirate King’s Marksman
    • Earn the high score from the Pirate’s Rampage: Ghost Ship stage in Costa del Sol. Unlocked during the quest Rendezvous in Costa del Sol, and you won't be able to earn the top reward until after the quest is completed..
  3. Neophyte QB Strategian
    • Complete all Easy-rank puzzles at Card Carnival in Costa del Sol. Check out our Card Carnival guide for how to complete all challenges.
  4. Bloody Brilliant Card Sharp
    • Complete all Advanced-rank puzzles at Card Carnival in Costa del Sol. Check out our Card Carnival guide for how to complete all challenges. You won't be able to complete this until Chapter 12.
  5. Legendary Card Collector
    • Complete all Collection Challenges at Card Carnival in Costa del Sol. Check out our Card Carnival guide for how to complete all challenges. You won't be able to complete this until Chapter 12.
  6. Madder Machinator
    • Complete all Skill Drills at Card Carnival in Costa del Sol. Check out our Card Carnival guide for how to complete all challenges. You won't be able to complete this until Chapter 12.
  7. King of the Jungle
    • Win outright and earn the best rank in Run Wild - Free-for-All in Costa del Sol.
  8. Red Bolt XIII
    • Earn the highest rank in Run Wild -Time Trial in Costa del Sol. Unlocked during the quest Rendezvous in Costa del Sol, and you won't be able to earn the top reward until after the quest is completed.
  9. Ab-Fab
    • Defeat all challengers in the Crunch-Off minigame in Corel Region. Will unlock during the quest Bodybuilders in a Bind in Chapter 7.
  10. Speedy Motorcyclist 
    • Earn the top rank reward from G-Bike - Standard at the Gold Saucer.
  11. Crazy Motorcyclist
    • Earn the top rank reward from G-Bike - Expert at the Gold Saucer. Available in Chapter 12.
  12. Welterweight Brawler
    • Defeat all standard-rank opponents in 3D Brawler at the Gold Saucer (Saucer Brawler, Fat Moogle, and Dio). See our guide page on how to more easily clear all of the 3D Brawler challenges.
  13. Heavyweight Brawler
    • Defeat all advanced-rank opponents in 3D Brawler at the Gold Saucer in Chapter 12 (Shiva, Ifrit). See our guide page on how to more easily clear all of the 3D Brawler challenges.
  14. Super Heavyweight Brawler
    • Defeat Sephiroth in the 3D Brawler at the Gold Saucer. Not available to challenge until completion of the quest Can't Stop Won't Stop. See our guide page on how to more easily clear all of the 3D Brawler challenges.
  15. Rookie Ranger
    • Earn the top rank reward from Galactic Saviors - Standard at the Gold Saucer.
  16. SOLDIER: Galaxy Class
    • Earn the top rank reward from Galactic Saviors - Expert at the Gold Saucer, available in Chapter 12.
  17. Chocobo Bug Boy
    • Win the first Chocobo Race at Gold Saucer's Chocobo Square in Chapter 8. See our Chocobo Racing guide.
  18. Fleet-footed Jockey
  19. Chocobo Whisperer
    • Win all Grade II races at Gold Saucer's Chocobo Square. See our Chocobo Racing guide. You won't have access to all Grade II races until Chapter 12.
  20. Champion Jockey
    • Win the Gold Cup at Gold Saucer's Chocobo Square. See our Chocobo Racing guide. Unlocked during the quest Gold Cup or Bust.
  21. Card Savant
    • Complete all Easy-rank Queen's Blood Challenges at Gold Saucer's Wonderment Square.
  22. Card Whiz
    • Complete all Advanced-rank Queen's Blood Challenges at Gold Saucer's Wonderment Square.
  23. Card Sayer
    • Complete all Survival Challenges Queen's Blood Challenges at Gold Saucer's Wonderment Square.
  24. Twin Muscleheads
    • Defeat all Easy-rank two-person bouts at Gold Saucer’s Battle Square Musclehead Colosseum.
  25. Musclehead Warriors
    • Defeat all Advanced-rank two-person bouts aat Gold Saucer’s Battle Square Musclehead Colosseum. You won't have access to all of them until you clear the Main Scenario.
  26. Twin Team Titans
    • Defeat all Easy-rank six-person bouts at Gold Saucer’s Battle Square Musclehead Colosseum.
  27. The Six Musc-keteers
    • Defeat all Advanced-rank six-person bouts at Gold Saucer’s Battle Square Musclehead Colosseum. You won't have access to all of them until you clear the Main Scenario.
Completing the Treasure Trove will require earning all rewards from all minigames
  1. Best Actor: Cloud
    • Earn an S Rank during the Loveless Performance in Chapter 12.
  2. Best Actress: Tifa
    • Earn an S Rank during the Loveless performance in Chapter 12 while Tifa is your date. We have a guide all about picking your Gold Saucer date, but you can always easily select this from the System: Extra Settings menu, accessible once you unlock Chapter Select after beating the game.
  3. Best Actress: Aerith

  4. Best Supporting Actor: Barret 
    • Earn an S Rank during the Loveless Performance in Chapter 12.

  6. Best Supporting Animal: Red XIII
    • Earn an S Rank during the Loveless Performance in Chapter 12.

    • Earn an S Rank during the Loveless Performance in Chapter 12.
  8. Dustbowl Smasher
    • Earn the top rank reward from Desert Rush - Standard box-crushing minigame in Corel Prison.
  9. Dustbowl Demolisher
    • Earn the top rank reward from Desert Rush - Challenging box-crushing minigame in Corel Prison, available in Chapter 12.
  10. Sylkis Cup Champion
    • Defeat all challengers in the Beast Battleground - Sylkis Cup in Corel Prison.
  11. Prison Tourney Champion
    • Defeat all challengers in the Beast Battleground - Prison Tourney in Corel Prison.
  12. Belles of the Ball
    • During the quest Sand and Circuses in Chapter 12, defeat all five rounds of one-on-one battles.
  13. 1,000 Needle Pincushion
    • Complete all Cactuar Crush stages on Normal mode during the Corel Region Phenomenon Intel events.
  14. 10,000 Needle Pincushion
    • Complete all Cactuar Crush stages on Hard mode during the Corel Region Phenomenon Intel events.
Good Luck completing hard mode on Gears and Gambits, you're gonna need it
  1. Gambit Technician
    • Complete all Gears and Gambits stages on Hard mode during the Cosmo Canyon Region Phenomenon Intel events.
  2. Adequately Functional Specimen
    • During the quest Lament of the Damned in Shinra Manor in Chapter 12, defeat all Preliminary Trials required for completion of the quest.
  3. Somewhat Intriguing Specimen
    • After the quest Lament of the Damned in Shinra Manor in Chapter 12, defeat all Evaluations available at the Shinra Combat Simulator.
  4. MAI’s Participation Award 
    • Complete all standard-difficulty Combat Simulator challenges. Does not include the Brutal and Legendary category challenges, which must be completed on Hard Mode.
  5. MAI’s Gold Star
    • Complete all Brutal and Legendary Combat Simulator challenges, which must be completed on Hard Mode. Unlocks after completing all events related to the Phenomenon Intel and Protorelic Quests, and defeating Gilgamesh.
  6. Peerless Pianist 
    • Report all A-rank piano performances to Dorian.
  7. Shutterbug Supreme 
    • Complete Snaps' scenic location photo in every region.
  8. Blood Champion 
    • Attain the Blood Champion rank by defeating all opponents in Queen's Blood, including Vincent and the Shadowblood Queen.
Completing every quest is another requirement for completing the Treasure Trove
  1. The True Ultimate Party Animal
    • Complete the quest Can’t Stop Won’t Stop. This quest requires completion of most, if not all, other side quests in the game, and requires completion of several mini-games from the Gold Saucer.
  2. PLAY ARTS Rest Spot
    • Dig up from a chocobo dig spot in the Grasslands. The exact location is random, so you'll need to traverse by chocobo and continue to dig whenever you see the blue question-mark symbol. Rabbits will also hint at the location of a dig-spot nearby if you ever see them while not on a chocobo.
  3. PLAY ARTS Sweeper
    • Dig up from a chocobo dig spot in the Junon region. The exact location is random, so you'll need to traverse by chocobo and continue to dig whenever you see the blue question-mark symbol. Rabbits will also hint at the location of a dig-spot nearby if you ever see them while not on a chocobo.
  4. PLAY ARTS Wheelie
    • Dig up from a chocobo dig spot in the Corel region. The exact location is random, so you'll need to traverse by chocobo and continue to dig whenever you see the blue question-mark symbol. Rabbits will also hint at the location of a dig-spot nearby if you ever see them while not on a chocobo.
  5. PLAY ARTS Buggy
    • Dig up from a chocobo dig spot in the Gongaga region. The exact location is random, so you'll need to traverse by chocobo and continue to dig whenever you see the blue question-mark symbol.   6. PLAY ARTS Tiny Bronco
    • Dig up from a chocobo dig spot in the Cosmo Canyon region.   2. Stuffed Moogle
    • Complete all MoogleEmporium activities across all regions.
  3. Stuffed Stamp
    • In Chapter 4, keep all of the Infantrymen alive during the final stretch of the chapter. After defeating Roche, you'll be rewarded with the Stuffed Stamp Key Item.
  4. Stuffed Fat Moogle
    • In the Shinra Manor in Chapter 11, destroy ten boxes during the random minigame after defeating Yin and Yang.
  5. Stuffed Bomb
    • Purchase from the GP Exchange at Gold Saucer's Battle Square.
  6. Stuffed Chocobo
    • Purchase from the GP Exchange at Gold Saucer's Chocobo Square.
  7. Stuffed Cactuar
    • Purchase from the GP Exchange at Gold Saucer's Skywheel Square.
  8. Stuffed Fat Chocobo
    • Purchase from the GP Exchange at Gold Saucer's Event Square.
  9. Stuffed Tonberry

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Reward for Completing Johnny's Seaside Inn

One Johnny is enough
Once you've completed all 88 trophies available in the Treasure Trove, you'll be able to speak to Johnny for one last celebratory cutscene, plus the opportunity to finally learn what was locked away in the mysterious chest. Turns out, the item is Sheet Music: One-Winged Angel. This is a wickedly difficult track to play, but thankfully, there is no reward for reporting progress to Dorian for this track.
