Black Myth Wukong Armor Guide: all the craftable sets, their effects, and materials needed to make them
There are several Armor Sets that you can craft in Black Myth: Wukong that not only increase your defensive stats, but can also grant unique effects if you wear multiple pieces. The game will clearly lay out what effects will come into effect if you wear 2-pieces, 3-pieces, or all 4-pieces of an armor set.
No story spoilers will be present in this Black Myth Wukong armor guide and we will only cover the armor you can craft. There are still several pieces of secret equipment that can drop from special enemies and obtained through other means. We will mention the first possible Shrine location that you can craft a certain armor set.
As of the time of writing this guide, we have not discovered a method to upgrading the stats of armor pieces on a first playthrough. In New Game+, upgrading armor is unlocked by visiting the first Shrine in the game which allows you to use materials to improve their stats. On an initial playthrough, armor pieces continually become better and better, which leave some earlier armor sets with their unique effects obsolete due to the sheer stat difference.
Swift Pilgrim Set
First craftable at: Forest of Wolves - Guanyin Temple Shrine
- 2-Piece Effect: Moderately increases Sprint Speed.
- 4-Piece Effect: When Sprinting, each second moderately increases Attack. This effect can stack up to 10 times and will cease upon stopping.

First craftable at: Sandgate Village - Village Entrance Shrine
- 3-Piece Effect: In Cloud Step, shrouding black wind will attack enemies nearby continuously.

Gale Guardian Set
First craftable at: Fright Cliff - Rock Clash Platform Shrine
- 2-Piece Effect: Upon Perfect Dodges, grants considerable additional Focus.
- 4-Piece Effect: Perfect Dodges slightly reduces Cooldown for all Spells.

- 3-Piece Effect: Decoy and Duplicates are cloaked in Yellow Wind, granting them considerable Damage Reduction.

First craftable at: Bitter Lake - North Shore of the Bitter Lake Shrine
- 3-Piece Effect: Massively reduces the duration of Shocked State; moderately increases Thunder Damage.

- Unique Effect: Vengeful Mirage will inflict Thunder Bane.

- 2-Piece Effect: For a short duration after performing a Spirit Skill or using a Vessel, considerably increases Attack.
- 4-Piece Effect: Upon Critical Hits and defeats, grants a small amount of Qi.
- Golden Mask of Fury (Defense: 36)

First craftable at: Webbed Hollow - The Purifying Spring Shrine
- 2-Piece Effect: Mud that stains upon De-Transformation and exiting Spirit Skills grants considerable Damage Reduction for a short duration.
- 4-Piece Effect: When stained with mud, increases Might recovery rate; Dodges and Perfect Dodges also recover a small amount of additional Might.

- 2-Piece Effect: Massively reduces the continuous damage received from Poisoned State.
- 4-Piece Effect: Significantly increases Attack while suffering from Poisoned State.

- 4-Piece Effect: Unleash the rage within, significantly increasing Damage both dealt and taken.
