Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii DLC Guide – How To Change Costumes, Crewmates, Ship Customization, and More

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is now available worldwide on consoles and PC platforms and it is also available as a Digital Deluxe Edition with different DLC packs included. As with other RGG Studio releases, not all the DLC is available to players immediately and you can upgrade from the base game to get all the DLC. This Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii DLC guide will cover all the content included in the different editions, when you can access it in-game, and more.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has four different editions across formats:

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Deluxe Edition
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii SteelBook Edition (PC only and in Europe)

The Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii pre-order bonus is the Ichiban Kasuga Pirate Crew and Special Outfit Set. This includes the following:

Ichiban Pirate Crew Set: Crewmate (Ichiban Kasuga) and Supporter (Nancy)
Ichiban Special Outfit Set: Special Outfit (Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth) and Special Outfit (Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza: Like a Dragon)

Both the Ichiban Pirate Crew Set and Ichiban Special Outfit Set are also available for purchase now that the pre-order period has ended in case you miss pre-ordering the game.

How to access DLC in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

If you haven't bought any of the DLC yet, you can do so from the platform-specific storefront directly or by using the smartphone in-game to access the DLC menu as shown above to either check what DLC you have or to buy any new DLC. All of the DLC is unlocked at different points of the game's main story. While you will have downloaded the DLC or even will be able to see it in the in-game menu, there are progress blocks on accessing some content. I've covered when you will unlock access to the DLC without major spoilers below:

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Karaoke & CD Pack: In Chapter 1, as soon as you get access to your smartphone (on the ship) to claim DLC and make playlists to listen to music, you will be able to listen to songs from this DLC pack during exploration. The Karaoke song included in the DLC will be available at Revolve Bar when you go to play the karaoke mini-game.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Ichiban Special Outfit Set and Legendary Outfit Pack: When you first reach HonolΩulu in the main story towards the end of Chapter 1 and get to Revolve Bar, you will have access to and be able to change costumes and outfits after a scene when you move to the upper floor in the bar. The outfits from the Legendary Character Special Outfit Set (based on characters from the series) are only equippable as a complete outfit while the t-shirts can be mixed and matched from the Special T-Shirt Set.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Legendary Pirate Crew, Ichiban Pirate Crew Set, and Ship Customization Pack: Around the mid point of Chapter 2, you are told to collect a certain amount of money and gather 15 crewmates. You will need to complete this part of the main story and you will then have an in-game alert that all three packs are now available to use.

How to change costumes in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Once you've unlocked costumes through mini-games, purchased any from an in-game store, have the pre-order bonus, or have bought DLC with costumes, you will be able to change costumes and outfits in Chapter 1 at Honolulu once you reach Revolve Bar and progress the story enough to go upstairs. From this point on, you can change costumes.
