Monster Hunter Wilds Elemental Sac Guide - Where to find Flame Sac, Frost Sac and more
While crafting equipment in Monster Hunter Wilds will usually require monster-specific material drops, longtime fans of the series will be familiar with some specific materials that may not be exclusive to specific monsters. One such instance of a material drop that can be found on multiple monsters are elemental sacs; monsters that use a specific element may share this drop across other monsters proficient in such an element. For example, a Yian Kut-Ku might drop a flame-affiliated sac, which a Rathalos may also provide. As always - Monster Hunter Wilds has its fair share of elemental sacs, and monsters that will supply them. That being said, as of launch Monster Hunter Wilds has notably less monsters that supply elemental sacs than either Monster Hunter World or Monster Hunter Rise included in their base roster.
Monster Hunter Wilds Elemental Sacs

Poison Sac Monsters
Unlike in previous entries in the series, there's merely one monster that will drop a Low Rank Poison Sac - and that's the Rompopolo. That being said, both Rompololo and Gypceros can drop the High Rank Toxin Sac.

Sleep Sac Monsters
Similar to the Monsters which can drop a Poison Sac, only the Nerscylla will drop the Low Rank Sleep Sac; if you want a High Rank Coma Sac you'll be able to find one by hunting either a High Rank Nerscylla or a Gravios.
Paralysis Sac Monsters
While players can in fact craft Paralysis equipment, and the Lala Barina is a monster that can inflict the status ailment, there are no Paralysis Sacs in Monster Hunter Wilds as of launch.

Flame Sac Monsters
Continuing the trend, only the Guardian Rathalos will drop a Low Rank Flame Sac. On the flipside, many High Rank monsters will drop the High Rank Inferno Sac. In High Rank you'll be able to receive an Inferno Sac from hunting a Yian Kut-Ku, a Rathian, a normal Rathalos, Gravios or the High Rank version of the Guardian Rathalos.
Thunder Sac Monsters
As of launch, there are no Low Rank monsters that will drop what would have been an Electro Sac, going by prior naming conventions. Instead, the only monster that will drop a High Rank Thunder Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds is the absolute mouthful that is the Guardian Fulgur Anjanath.

Aqua Sac Monsters
Same as many of the other Elemental Sacs on this list, you only have a limited selection of monsters which will drop the Low Rank Aqua Sac. More specifically, Low Rank Balahara will drop them, as well as Low Rank Uth Duna. The same two monsters' High Rank variants will drop the High Rank Torrent Sac.

Frost Sac Monsters
Finally, we've arrived at the last available elemental sac in Monster Hunter Wilds. Players can find the Low Rank Frost Sac by hunting a Low Rank Hirabami - and nothing else. For the High Rank Freezer Sac you can hunt either a High Rank Hirabami or a High Rank Jin Dahaad.
Monster Hunter Wilds stands out for featuring far less monsters with Elemental Sac drops, at least at launch - but that doesn't stop them from being essential for any hunter looking to craft the specific equipment that still requires these materials. Now that you know where to look, happy hunting for your next piece of equipment!
