Monster Hunter Wilds Rarity 6 Special Items Guide – Everything You Need for the Explorer of the Eastlands Trophy and Achievement
If you're working towards getting all the in-game awards, 100% completion for achievements, or the Platinum Trophy in Monster Hunter Wilds, you likely will be stuck at the Explorer of the Eastlands one. The Explorer of the Eastlands trophy/achievement/award requires you to obtain 10 different special items of Rarity 6. This guide covers all Rarity 6 Special Items you need (with one extra), where to find them, how to farm them, and more. There will be no story spoilers in this guide, but there will be some location spoilers for the endgame. This achievement is basically one you should attempt after you've finished the story anyway, but be warned.

What special items do you need for the Explorer of the Eastlands trophy and achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds
The Rarity 6 Special Items you need for the Explorer of the Eastlands trophy are any 10 of the following: Great Windward Aloe, Thundering Fulgurite, Eternal Scarlet Amber, Queensbloom Pollen, Bulky Treasure, Antimite Mass, Large Goldenscale Vase, Time-honed Wylk Gem, Nightflower Pollen, Genesis Opal, and finally Wyvernsprout.

How to check which Rarity 6 items you already have in Monster Hunter Wilds
To do this, go into your tent and select the View/Sell Items option. You can also talk to the Provisions Stockpile, select Sell, and then select Item Box. From here, scroll to the last tab and start scrolling through your items as shown in the image below:

How to get the Rarity 6 Special Items in Monster Hunter Wilds
There are a few ways to get the Rarity 6 Special Items. The first is getting everything naturally while exploring which will take the longest time. You can be smart about this and pay attention to the environment notifications on the right of the screen. You are looking for an "Emergence" for things related to (or the items) above which I detail in the rest of this guide.

If you don't want to look at notifications, you can do what I did and pay attention to the Environment Forecast for each of the main maps in the game. You do this by bringing up the map, pressing the top face button (Triangle or Y depending on your controller), then hovering over each location, and pressing the right shoulder button (R1 or RB) twice. This will show you the forecast with how many minutes are remaining for everything happening in a specific location.
How to spot Emergences for Rarity 6 Special Items in Monster Hunter Wilds
As an example, you can see the Magnificent Fossil Emergence below in my forecast for the Ruins of Wyveria. This will take place in under 10 minutes (of real time). When you see something like this, you can do what I did and wait in real time for the emergence to appear and then go collect the Special Item. I did not risk doing quests because you can inadvertently change the forecast. Even going to another lobby will change the forecast. I was patient and even waited 40 minutes for something just to not risk missing out. This ended up making things boring, but I got just about all 10 items I needed in a single session after resting and checking the forecast in each map.

Note: You can rest to progress this and reset things, but there is one specific thing that might not work if you play offline. This relates to the Nightflower Pollen. I will go into details for that later on in the guide in the relevant section. I will now cover all 11 possible Rarity 6 special items for Explorer of the Eastlands (you need 10 out of the 11) with individual tips for some of them and more. Monster Hunter Wilds Nightflower Pollen guide

The in-game description for the Nightflower Pollen is: Pollen from a flower that blooms under a full moon. It exudes an ethereal pale glow. You can sell it for 800z. I don't recommend selling it. You can trade it in using the Item Trade option at either different locations or with Nata. The trade offers vary and you should come back to Nata often to see if there's something you want to trade for outside of ingredients for food which are good to have, but not as essential as other rare items. I stuck to trading these for Gold melding and relic tickets.

Unlike the other items in this guide, the Nightflower Pollen has another requirement: a specific moon phase. If you play offline, this might be hard to reset or work towards, but when I played online using Online Singleplayer or a lobby, I kept posting the tempered Balahara optional quest titled: A Leviathan's Temper. This quest spawns you at the right time of the day to gather Nightflower Pollen. If you are at Area 10 (I recommend setting up the camp here), you can look to the right and get on your Seikret and ride for a bit to the Ephemeral Blossom gathering point. If you don't see this point, you might need to rest for the moon phase to change.

While you can try and look at the moon and keep trying to change the phase yourself, I recommend just posting the quest and heading to the location I show and waiting one minute or so of real time for it to bloom. If you see it bloom, collect the Nightflower Pollen and use the "Return from Quest" option. Post the quest again and keep farming the Nightflower Pollen so you can trade them in for rare items.
If you are still having trouble with the moon phase, I recommend saving and quitting. Then come back into the game or just change your lobby and try posting this quest again. That worked for me the most and I had over 30 of these by the end of two farming sessions.
Note: As of the update on March 10, you can't farm as many as before, but this is still useful to get one for the trophy.
Monster Hunter Wilds Genesis Opal guide

Monster Hunter Wilds Genesis Opal location
The Genesis Opal can be gathered from a special node in the Oilwell Basin in Monster Hunter Wilds. It only appears during a Magnificent Fossil Emergence where you can gather it from the Magnificent Fossil. Note that while I got this during nighttime and plenty, it might appear at other times. You need to pay attention to the forecast and watch out for the emergence.
Open your map and use the fast travel list to move to the herb icon (second one). Then you can scroll through the list to find the special gathering point you need to have your Seikret take you there.
Monster Hunter Wilds Wyvernsprout guide
This section will cover where you can find the Wyvernsprout in Monster Hunter Wilds, what to look out for, what it is used for, and more.
What is the Wyvernsprout in Monster Hunter Wilds
The in-game description for the Wyvernsprout is: A parasitic fungus that grows on the bodies of dead monsters. Prized as a symbol of reincarnation. You can sell it for 800z.

Monster Hunter Wilds Wyvernsprout location
While the other Rarity 6 Special Items can be gathered from plants or specific gathering points, the Wyvernsprout is something you carve off a specific kind of carcass. It isn't easy to spawn though, and I only had a few spawn from small monster carcasses in a dozen hours. My suggestion to find the Wyvernsprout in Monster Hunter Wilds is to mark the Talioth (small monster) on your map in the Windward Plains and then kill four or five of them.
Once you do this, wait five or so minutes of real time. Out of the carcasses, there's a chance one of them is covered in white hair-like substance with roots (Carrion Mushrooms) growing on top as the photo shows. You can carve this for the Wyvernsprout. You may need to kill small monsters like this and reset a few times to get the Wyvernsprout given it is rare to see a carcass go into this state rather than just being a rotten one.
Monster Hunter Wilds is now available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Check out all our Monster Hunter Wilds guides here.
