Lunar Remastered - Lunar Silver Star Story Bromide Guide

In both Lunar games, one of the more infamous collectibles are the bromides—a picture that can only be obtained by talking to specific characters at just the right time. They’re easy to miss, and while the games themselves are fairly straightforward, missing even one bromide can force a replay if you're aiming for the platinum trophy or full achievement completion. The original game is especially strict with its timing for these events, while the sequel offers a bit more leeway in when you can obtain them.

For this guide, we’ve compiled a complete list of where to find all the bromides in Lunar: Silver Star Story. Please note that there will be minor spoilers, as many of these collectibles are tied to specific story beats or events. This guide can also be applied to the original PlayStation version, however, there are some variations in instructions. 

Note: Bromides are sorted in chronological order rather than it's naming order.

Bromide Step 1

Instructions: This step is required to obtain the last few bromides in the game. It takes place early on—you’ll need to visit the weapon shop in Burg and speak to the man on the second floor while Ramus is still in your party. Lend Ramus 30 silver.

Bromide Step 2

PSX Version Instructions: Right after your first encounter with Phacia, speak to the woman who works alongside her. Talk to her twice, make sure to view this specific dialogue, as it’s required to obtain her bromide later in the game. This step is only required for players playing the Playstation 1 version.

Bromide Step 3

PSX Instructions: When you're tasked with finding the fake Dragonmaster alongside Jessica, borrow the boat in Lann Village to visit the nearby island, then immediately return to Lann. Borrow the boat twice. The next time you use the boat, the boatman will comment on Jessica. This dialogue is a crucial trigger required to obtain one of her bromides much later in the game.

Mia's Bromide 1 - (1/13)

Instructions: This one is a freebie; it's on Nash's inventory.

Phacia's Bromide - (2/13)

Remastered Collection Instructions: Sold in Ramus' Store after Kyle joins the party. 

PSX Instructions:  Right after your encounter with Xenobia in the Crystal Tower, leave Vane and speak to the priestess who works alongside Phacia. She will give you the bromide—but only if you spoke to her during your first encounter with Phacia.

Luna's Bromide 2 - (3/13)

Instructions: Right after bringing Ghaleon to meet Quark, head to the basement of Alex’s house. Check the shelves there to find a bromide of Luna.

Royce's Bromide - (4/13)

Remastered Collection Instructions: Sold in Ramus' Store after Kyle joins the party. 

PSX Instructions: After clearing out the Vile Tribe monsters in Meribia, head to Black Rose Street (the west part of town) and talk to the blonde man standing next to the general store.

Jessica's Bromide 4 - (5/13)

Instructions: Right after watching Kyle fend off Xenobia’s monsters, do not speak to him. Instead, head to the basement of Nanza and examine Kyle’s bed—the one with the black and red bedsheets. If you recruit Kyle, you will miss out on this bromide. 

Jessica's Bromide 1 - (6/13)

Instructions: Once Kyle joins your party, head to Althena's Shrine near Vane. In the altar room at the far back, speak to the girl on the right who believes she’s Jessica’s sister to receive the bromide. You will need to talk to her twice to get the bromide. 

Jessica's Bromide 2 - (7/13)

Remastered Collection Instructions: Sold in Ramus' Store after Althena Fortress appears. 

PSX Instructions: After becoming a Dragonmaster, return to Lann and speak with the man you borrowed the boat from during your first visit. You’ll only receive the bromide if you talked to him again after borrowing the boat while searching for the fake Dragonmaster earlier in the game.

Mia's Bromide 4 - (8/13)

Instructions: Right after Nash leaves the party at Myght's Tower, travel to Iluk and visit the purple house in the northeast corner. Speak to the man inside to receive the bromide.

Xenobia's Bromide - (9/13)

Remastered Collection Instructions: Sold in Ramus' Store after Kyle joins the party. 

PSX Instructions: After witnessing the event where the Grindery begins moving toward Vane, instead of returning to your airship, head back to the Talon Mines. Locate the purple orc miner you previously rescued and speak to him to receive the bromide.

Mia's Bromide 2 - (10/13)

Remastered Collection Instructions: Sold in Ramus' Store after Althena Fortress appears. 

PSX Instructions: During the evacuation of Vane, make sure you’re exploring alone—bringing Nash along will cause you to miss this bromide. Head to the Magic Guild and enter the classroom in the southeast corner. Speak to the student sitting alone at the bottom of the room, and he’ll give you the bromide.

Luna's Bromide 1 - (11/13)

Instructions: Talk to Ramus at his store during the Epilogue.

Jessia's Bromide 3 (12/13) & Mia's Bromide 3 (13/13)

Instructions: If you remember to help Ramus early in the game by covering the 30 silver he owes. During the epilogue, he’ll return the favor by selling the final bromides in his store.
