Oblivion - How to sell stolen goods

As tempting as it may be to pilfer and pillage every little thing you discover around Tamriel in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, once you get those items, it can be a little bit of a hassle to get rid of them and turn a profit. Normal vendors and shopkeepers want nothing to do with stolen items, and since any stolen items you have on you if you get arrested are confiscated, it means that you are on borrowed time until you inevitably get picked up. Luckily, a handful of ill repute vendors, known as fences, will exchange your hot items for good-honest gold. While most of them are locked behind being a member of the Thieves Guild, those who opt to stay independent have an option available, too. This guide will show you where to sell your stolen items and make a quick gold or two.

Non-Thieves Guild Fence

For players who aren't ready or are doing a playthrough without joining the Thieves Guild, you can still offload your stolen goods, though your options are slim. There is a single vendor that you can go to that will buy those items, and don't expect to get much money for your loot either. This can be a good option in a pinch, but it's recommended that you at least do the first quest of the Thieves Guild to grant you access to the first official guild fence.
