GungHo and Falcom have finally released Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. As with prior Trails games, there are a few editions available physically and digitally. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter also has DLC from launch day with more over the coming weeks. A majority of it is included in the Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Digital Deluxe Edition is a special digital bundle that includes the base game and all Season Pass content. The price is $79.99 or 12,100 Yen in Japan for the Digital Deluxe Edition while the standard edition is 8,800 Yen or $59.99.

The Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Season Pass, priced at $24.99, grants access to all paid costumes and attachment items. All content included in the Season Pass is also be available for individual purchase as DLC items starting from September 19, 2025. Note that the consumable items are not included in the Season Pass.

There is consumable DLC in the form of Battle Boost Item packs, Droplet sets, Monster Ingredient Sets, U-Material Sets, G-Pom Fruit sets, G-Pom Fruit Value sets, and more available right now. These range from $1.49 to $2.49 and they are available on all platforms as has been the case with every other new Trails release.
How to access DLC in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter
When in-game after you have purchased and downloaded or even redeemed any DLC codes, go into the main menu and select the Item menu tab. From here, the final tab in the Item menu is DLC. You will be able to see any DLC available and select it to activate it for this save file.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack
Those who own Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter on Nintendo Switch physically can purchase the $1 Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack to download and play the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
