The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon DLC announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store
During this morning's Xbox Games Showcase, Private Division and Obsidian Entertainment unveiled The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon. It is the first of two played DLC expansions for the game, set to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store on September 9. It is priced at $14.99 or can be purchased as a part of The Outer Worlds Expansion Pass which includes both Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos for $24.99. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also be able to save 10% on the DLCs.
Along with a new explorable zone and storyline, Peril on Gorgon increases the level cap to 33 and includes new armors, weapons, and flaws.
Ahead of the unveil, RPG Site had a chance to chat with game director Carrie Patel and art director Matt Hansen about the DLC, what it entails, inspirations for it, and more. In this interview, Obsidian tells us the DLC will also launch for Nintendo Switch, but at a later time.

The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon is the first narrative expansion to the award-winning RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division.
A severed arm and a mysterious message lead the crew of the Unreliable to the Gorgon Asteroid, formerly the site of one of Halcyon’s most ambitious and disastrous scientific undertakings, now a lawless den of monsters and marauders. Wealthy recluse Minnie Ambrose tasks the crew with finding answers about Dr. Olivia Ambrose, her mother and the doomed project’s disgraced director, but they are soon ensnared in an intrigue that will change the colony forever.
