Chained Echoes is a traditionally styled '16-bit style fantasy RPG with mechs and airships' that will be showcased at Gamescom though the Indie Arena Booth Online from August 27 to August 30. The Indie Arena Booth Online is a virtual booth area where anyone can check out virtual game booths for indie games in their browser.
Chained Echoes is a story-driven, turn-based RPG inspired by the classics, featuring customizable airships and mechs. There are no random encounters, and instead, each fight will be seen during exploration. The game is set to release in Q4 2021 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Developed largely by a lone developer Matthias Linda, Chained Echoes ran a Kickstarter campaign in early 2019, raising more than €130,000 for the project. The game was then picked up by Deck13 Spotlight as a publishing partner in January 2020.
