Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin - Gamescom 2020 gameplay

XSEED Games and Edelweiss have revealed new gameplay for Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin at Gamescom 2020. The footage shows the first nine minutes of the farming sim / action RPG hybrid.

Sakuna of Rice of Ruin is part sidescroller RPG and part rice farming simulator. In combat, you use farm tools as weapons to chain together combos in taking down a variety of demons. There is also a platforming element with a emphasis on grappling distant platforms. Farming rice involves following a specific detailed set of steps to master its cultivation.
