Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny announced for Nintendo Switch
During today's Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, NIS America announced Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, set to release for Nintendo Switch in Summer 2021 for North America and Europe. The official English website is here.
In Japan, Disgaea 6 is set to release on January 28 for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Oddly enough, NIS America does not mention a PlayStation 4 version in its press release, trailer, store, or website.
The trailer shown introduced the main character Zed, a zombie who gains strength each time he dies. Disgaea 6 will mark the first time a game in the series uses 3D models but the vibrancy and battle system still look familiar, with a few added bonuses.
On top of this announcement, it was revealed that From September 23 at 10am PT to September 29 at 11:59 pm PT, Nintendo Switch Online members will be able to download and play a game trial of Disgaea 5 Complete.
In usual NIS America fashion, a Limited Edition for Disgaea 6 can be found on the publisher's online store, which includes a hardcover artbook, soundtrack CD, pin set, cloth poster, and steelbook case.
A trailer, description, and media set can be found below.
