Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of Elusive Age S - Definitive Edition demo now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam
Square Enix has released a free demo for Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of Elusive Age S - Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One/Windows, and Steam. This looks to be the same lengthy demo that was released ahead of the Switch version's launch last year.
The demo consists of the first section of the game, running about 5-10 hours long (depending on player speed). Progress made in the demo can be transferred over to the full game when it releases on December 4. Additionally, completing the demo will reward players with three extra Seeds of Skill.
The Definitive Edition includes new additions made to the original PlayStation 4 version, including new side stories for companions, 2D mode & the 16-bit World of Tickington, English & Japanese audio, an orchestrated soundtrack, photo mode, among many other quality of life improvements. However, since this release is based on the Nintendo Switch version, the in-game visual assets are weaker than the original PlayStation 4 and PC versions.
The demo trailer can be found below. More information on this release can be found in the announcement post.
