Ruined King: A League of Legends Story get a gameplay trailer at The Game Awards 2020
During The Game Awards 2020, we got a first look at gameplay Ruined King: A League of Legends Story. Developed by Airship Syndicate under the Riot Forge publishing label, we finally got a chance to see the turn-based combat of the League of Legends spinoff title. Perhaps unsurprisingly, there are a lot of similarities present with Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Airship Syndicate's debut title which also featured turn-based combat.
Intially revealed one year ago at The Game Awards 2019, Ruined King takes place accross the locations of Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles, and will alternate between dungeon-based gameplay and turn-based battles. Different champions will have different abilities used to navigate these dungeons, as well as different capabilities used in combat. We've got the gameplay footage linked below.
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is slated to release for consoles and PC in early 2021, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions following the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases.
