Final Fantasy XIII-2 is 70% Complete

As expected, Jump's scoop on Final Fantasy XIII-2 this week features everything we learned about at E3, including new character, Noel Kreiss, and a glimpse at the battle system as it will appear in the Japanese version.

It should be noted that Square-Enix has decided to go with the western "Paradigm Shift" in place of the original "Optima Change" system. However, it looks like the names of the roles for the Japanese version, such as Attacker/Healer/Blaster, will remain the same.

Jump says that Final Fantasy XIII-2 is currently 70% complete, which isn't all surprising. The game will release this December in Japan, giving it about 18 months of development time.
