Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance set to release on June 22 for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam
Wizards of the Coast and Tuque Games have announced that Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance will launch on June 22 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam). The game will be priced at $39.99 with a Digital Deluxe Edition available for $59.99.
Pre-orders can be made at the game's official website. Those who pre-order the game will obtain a Beholder Weapon Set. Those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition will obtain a Beholder Weapon Set, Lich Weapon Set, and upcoming Echoes of the Blood War expansion content, although this content is not yet detailed.
While Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance was looking to be a successor to the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance games from the mid 2000's, this new entry features third-person action combat, instead of a top-down isometric view. Additionally, the game includes single-player play and online co-operative modes featuring popular D&D characters - Drizzt, Bruenor Battlehammer, Catti-brie, and Wulfgar. However, the game will not have local co-op play. Various outlets have also gone live with previews for the game, including Polygon, Metro, Eurogamer, and others.
