Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis launches simultaneously worldwide this June
Sega will launch Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis for both Japanese and Global servers in June 2021. The company will also distribute a Character Creator benchmark software on PC for both versions in late May 2021. Characters created with the benchmark can be brought as-is to the actual game.
The announcement was made at the 3rd PSO2 New Genesis Prologue stream aired simultaneously in Japanese and English. Other than more details on the character creation system and priced item packs, the stream also revealed the first four characters that the player will encounter in the game's storyline: Aina, Mannon, Garoa, and Dozer. Just like the original PSO2, the characters will have Japanese and English voiceovers.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will launch globally on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in June 2021. The Japanese client will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC, with an additional cloud version on Nintendo Switch. The exact launch date will be announced at a later time. Before the launch of the full game and the character creator benchmark, Sega will hold a closed beta test for the global server on May 14-16.
