The Outer Worlds surpasses 3 million copies sold

Take-Two Interactive Software, the parent company of publisher Private Division, released its financial results for fiscal year 2021 today, and within the company's earnings conference call (~7:40 mark), CEO Strauss Zelnick announced that The Outer Worlds has surpassed more than three million sold-in copies.

The first-person RPG surpassed the two million mark in February 2020, ahead of the title's release on Nintendo Switch and Steam.

This past March, Private Division and developer Obsidian Entertainment released the second DLC pack for the game, Murder on Eridanos, which we reviewed as an improvement over the first DLC in Peril on Gorgon, but still with some problems holding it back. The DLC will launch for Nintendo Switch later in 2021.
