Horizon Forbidden West shows new features and combat in 14-minute State of Play demo
During today's State of Play, Guerrila Games revealed 14 minutes of new gameplay footage for Horizon Forbidden West.
In the footage, we see a scene where Aloy has to save Erend from a pack of Tenakth rebels. We see a handful of new traversal elements, such as swimming underwater, highlighting climbable spots, a 'Pullcaster' grapple hook, and a 'Shieldwing' glider. Some combat is also shown, showcasing some tweaks made to the game's melee systems, 'Valor Surge' special attacks, a new arsenal of weapons, and more.
In a post on PlayStation Blog, Guerrilla Games Narrative Director Ben McCaw states "We don’t have an exact release date yet, but development is on track and we’ll have an update for you very soon."
