Final Fantasy Type-0 Release Date Announced

The second entry in the Fabula Nova Crystallis series is about to see its release. Square-Enix has finally revealed the release date for the highly anticipated FINAL FANTASY Type-0.

The official Type-0 website was updated with a PV, the same one shown recently to attendees of the Odaiba demo event. You can view the lengthy trailer below:

The video does a great job at showcasing the game’s characters, CG, battles, and more. The real news, though, comes at the end.




Coinciding with the PV’s release is the moment you’ve all been waiting for: FINAL FANTASY Type-0 releases on October 13th in Japan! The 2 UMD set will be priced at ¥7,700, which is more than your typical PSP game. A Collector’s Pack version will be offered as well for a much higher price of ¥12,760, and will contain the game’s original soundtrack, and some post cards all packed in a special case. You can purchase it from Square-Enix’s e-Store page.

In addition, FINAL FANTASY Type-0 will feature a musical tie-up with the punk band, BUMP OF CHICKEN. Their song titled ‘Zero’ will be featured as the game’s main theme song.
