Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Announced for Switch
During Nintendo's E3 Direct, a remake of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising were revealed. These two games will be packaged together as Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. Built from the ground-up with new 3D models and rearranged music, these remakes will be releasing for the Switch on December 3 this year.
The Advance Wars series has been dormant since the DS, with the last entry in the series being Advance Wars: Days of Ruin released in 2008. The original series dates back to the Famicom, with the appropriately titled Famicom Wars. It was followed by several titles of Game Boy Wars and Super Famicom Wars - but the series really took off with 2001's Advance Wars. It has primarily been developed by Intelligent Systems, the development house readers of this site will best know for Fire Emblem.
The Advance Wars series typically features colourful graphics, an interesting cast of characters, and its primary theme is its light-hearted take on war. Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is available for preorder starting today.
