Here's the lowdown on Borderlands 2
After months of faan speculation and development team leaks that have exposed the existance of the game Gearbox Software and 2K Games have officially announced Borderlands 2. The game will continue on from the first with the same style of artwork and gameplay fleshed out in new, interesting ways.
Borderlands 2 is set to feature all new characters, skills, environments, enemies weapons and equipment and a more in-depth storyline - hopefully with story delivered by more than just text in a quest screen. Players will continue to venture through Pandora in previously unseen areas with familiar aesthetics.
It's set for a release in THQ's Fiscal Year 2013 - that's begins on April 1st 2012 and ends March 31st 2013 - so fans won't have too long to wait for the sequel.
Twitter musings have confirmed that Anthony of web series Hey Ash Whatcha Been Playing is writing on the game.
Desperate for more? Borderlands 2 is this month's Game Informer cover, so you'll be able to find tons of information with those guys - we've whacked the cover below. It'll also be making an appearance at PAX Prime in Seattle, so the public will be able to see exactly what has changed in the world of Pandora there.
