Scarlet Nexus demo now available on Steam; New DLC incoming
Bandai Namco has today released a free demo for Scarlet Nexus on PC, available from the Steam store page. While PlayStation and Xbox version demos have been available since May, PC players have not had a chance to try out the game before purchase.
The console demos for Scarlet Nexus did not have save data transfer to the full game, but did offer a few small bonus attachments and accessories for those who played through it. It's unclear if the Steam demo also includes these bonuses.
Scarlet Nexus released on June 25 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out our review for the game, along with some tips and tricks in our guide section.
In a press release, Bandai Namco also detailed some upcoming DLC content coming to Scarlet Nexus in the future. Bandai Namco's description is as follows:
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has also unveiled DLC Pack 1 today, which includes:
- Bond Level Extension – A newly unlocked bond level (EX) which features new SAS power extensions, new bond episodes, and will reveal new aspects of your allies that was not available in the main story.
- Additional Costumes and Weapons. – Set of newly designed costumes and weapons for all protagonists and party members to fight in style.
Strangely, there are no specific details yet on the DLC's pricing or release date, nor any media about these upcoming contents. We'll have to wait for more information from Bandai Namco.
Update (August 25): Bandai Namco Japan has posted a few screenshots of the upcoming DLC, and has announced that three paid DLC sets will be made available. No prices or dates have yet been announced.
