Persona 4 The Golden Announced for PlayStation Vita

As teased earlier in the week, Atlus is bringing the fourth entry in their Persona series to the PlayStation Vita in 2012.

Although based on the PlayStation 2 version of the game, Persona 4 The Golden is by no means a simple port. The game will sport enhanced features such as a new character named Mari (voiced by Kana Hanazawa), 1.5 times the amount of voice work from the original version, new animation, as well as a new opening movie with a new track by Shouji Meguro.

Persona 4 The Golden will also utilize wireless communication support, and other things fans have requested previously.

Look for the game when it releases in Japan in Spring 2012. No word on a western release yet, but we'll keep you updated when the time comes!
