NIS America announces Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 2 for Nintendo Switch and PC, including Makai Kingdom and ZHP
NIS America has announced Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 2, a dual-pack for Nintendo Switch set to release in Spring 2022 that includes two classic NIS RPGs: Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound & ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman. Both titles are also set to release on PC via Steam individually, and the store pages for both Makai Kingdom and ZHP are now open.
- Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2005, but it's important to note that it was followed up with an enhanced re-release for PSP in 2011 that was never officially localized. It looks like this new-release will include those PSP additions, which likely accounts for the game's new subtitle - 'Reclaimed and Rebound'.
- ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman originally released for PSP in 2010.

Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound
Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound centers around Lord Zetta, a master of tactical warfare, and his pursuit to invade and reclaim the Netherworld‒as a book. Summon your units into battle using the INVITE system, and arm them with powerful weapons, accessories, and magic to devastate your enemies. Use isometric tactical movements and various vehicles to gain an advantageous position, and discover and fulfill "extensions" and "special events" on each map to shake things up in battle!
Also, contains new characters and a new story (Petta Mode) not included in the original PS2 release.
Description of Gameplay:
Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound is a turn-based strategy RPG where players summon units on an isometric grid. Defeat enemies while strategically moving your units in a grid-free environment to claim victory!
Unlock and summon over thirty different types of units such as the classic Magician and Warrior, or try something new like the Chef and Professor units!
Take control of and level up a plethora of Vehicles to cover additional distance in the map per turn and deal massive damage!
Utilize a variety of weapon and armor types to prepare for the many battles ahead of you! Each class has four weapon types in which they are proficient, and can learn new moves to use in combat as characters master the weapons.
ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman
In ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman, your character is custom-made to kick as—many enemies to the curb as you want! Use the deep customization system to outfit your ranger from head to toe, establish your own base, and fight your way through an array of randomly-generated maps to forge your own heroic story.
