The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails releases for PC in Japan on December 10

NIS America has announced, on behalf of Nihon Falcom Corporation, that The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails (also known as Nayuta no Kiseki) will launch for PC in Japan on December 10, 2021. The English release is still set for 2023 on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, as announced in June 2021.

The PC port will be handled by Peter 'Durante' Thoman and his company PH3 games, who also worked on the excellent PC ports for the Trails of Cold Steel series, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, and Ys IX: Monstrom Nox. Much like those ports, the PC version of The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails will have a turbo mode, ultrawide support, and other PC configuration options. NIS America also states that the English release will have additional updates to the PC port.

NIS America has shared the following trailer and description:

:

The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails for PC adds new exclusive features such as turbo mode, ultra-wide screen support, and additional configurable options. Some of the configuration options available are: various resolutions, screen modes, V-Sync, controller/keyboard configuration mapping.

PH3 GmbH (best known for their Trails of Cold Steel work) is handling the adaptation of the game for PC. English version of the game will be released later in 2023, with additional updates to both Japanese + English versions of the game

For those unfamiliar, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails is a spinoff of the Trails/Kiseki series, unrelated to the mainline Trails plot, with gameplay elements more similar to other Falcom titles like Zwei II. It was originally released for PSP in Japan in 2012, with a PS4 remaster released in the region earlier this year.

Those of us in the west will have to wait a while, but at least The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero is set to release next year for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
