Skyrim Anniversary Edition trailer highlights packed-in Creation Club content
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition arrives tomorrow, and it will be jam-packed with Creation Club content. To give fans a glimpse of what to expect in that regard — whilst also revisiting a few iconic moments from the original release — Bethesda Softworks has kindly provided a launch trailer.
Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year Awards, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim celebrates 10 years of adventuring in stunning detail. The Anniversary Edition includes a decade's worth of content: the critically acclaimed core game and add-ons of Skyrim Special Edition, plus pre-existing and new content from Creation Club including quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells, and more.
There's been no small measure of confusion regarding Anniversary Edition's pricing. For reference, it's a $49.99 purchase if you're starting from scratch. If you already own Skyrim Special Edition, on the other hand, it's a rather reasonable $19.99 upgrade. This nets you every piece of Creation Club content ever made. Which is a lot.
Should you elect to skip the full-blown Anniversary Edition upgrade but be in possession of Special Edition, there's a free version of sorts that includes Anniversary Edition's next-gen graphical update and a handful of Creation Club mods: Fishing, Survival Mode, and Saints & Seducers. Think of it as a taste of fandom's finest designed to whet your appetite for the rest.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 11. There's still no word on official Morrowind or Oblivion remasters. In fact, there will probably never be word on official Morrowind and Oblivion remasters. Rest in peace, sweet Daedric Princes.
