Tales of Xillia Sells Over 500,000 Units in its First Week

Having shipped 500,000 units out of the gate, plus another 100K the following day, it should come as no surprise that Tales of Xillia has pulled in some big numbers following its release in Japan last week.

Media Create has the final sell-through number, indicating that the game managed to sell an impressive 525,605 units from September 8 through September 11. This makes Xillia the biggest debut in the series since the PS1 era.

It's now clear that the Tales series audience is firmly implanted on the PS3. It's just a shame that it took Namco three entries to realize this.
