Granblue Fantasy Relink set to release worldwide in 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam; new trailer from Granblue Fantasy Fes 2021
At this weekend's Granblue Fantasy Fes 2021, Cygames revealed a new trailer for Granblue Fantasy Relink, showing several of the game's characters, scenes, combat, and more. Additionally, Cygames announced that Granblue Fantasy Relink will be a simultaneous worldwide release in 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
Cygames also detailed the two game modes found in Relink:
- Main Story: A single-player narrative-driven adventure, where you'll take your crew across Zegagrande. You'll be able to customize your characters and collect treasure. There will be Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty modes.
- Questing: Unlocked over time by playing the Main Story, it's a mode that can be played with up to four players. You can use the items and levels here in the Main Story. This mode will also contain challenging post-game content.
Granblue Fantasy Relink has been a long time coming, often with a small update every December. The last time we heard about the action RPG was at last year's Granblue Fantasy Fes 2020, where ~20 minutes of a 'Mega Fleet Battle' mission was shown featuring Djeeta. A year earlier in 2019, we got gameplay showing 4-player co-op with Lancelot, Vane, Percival, and Siegfried.
Finally, Cygames stated that a hard release date should be coming soon, likely after Granblue Fantasy's 8th anniversary in March. Granblue veterans will also notice a new face in the trailer, a yellow-adorned mage named Rolan. Charlotta and Yodarha also join the game's updated roster, which can be seen on the official website.
