Blue Reflection: Second Light has surpassed 120,000 units sold
Koei Tecmo has posted its Financial Results for the Third Quarter of the Fiscal Year Ending March 2022 [PDF], in which the publisher revealed sales data for some of their recently released titles.
Of most interest to us at RPG Site, Blue Reflection: Second Light has surpassed 120,000 units worldwide as of December 31. 2021. To put that into some context, the original Blue Reflection had shipped 80,000 units in Japan as of April 2017 [PDF], although overall worldwide sales data for the original was never shared by Koei Tecmo.
To compare to another Gust-developed title, Atelier Ryza was estimated to have shipped 640,000 units and Atelier Ryza 2 at 360,000 units as of March 2021.
Koei Tecmo today also revealed that the re-release of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water has topped 340,000 units since its release in October 2021, and Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires has surpassed 150,000 units in Japan & Asia since its release in December 2021. The English localization is set to release on February 15.
