Characters
Marilith
- The Fiend of Fire. She uses her six arms to launch a barrage of attacks and confounds Jack and his allies with her swift movements such as when she slams down her long tail. Be careful to avoid her petrifying "Stone Gaze" attack.
- “But you woke me from my slumber!”
The Lufenians
- Mysterious people with whom Jack exchanges words during the snatched glimpses of his fragmented memories. Wearing strange clothes, it is impossible to gauge any emotions from their words or actions.
- “You are nothing if not the sum of your memories."
Event Scenes
Job System
You can switch instantly between two different jobs during combat. There are all kinds of possible styles of combat depending on the combination of jobs you have set. Expert jobs offer unique and even more distinctive special actions and reveal their true power through customization by combining them with equipment and other jobs
Action abilities don’t just inflict a large amount of damage on an enemy’s break gauge; they can deplete the maximum capacity of that break gauge too. The further you reduce the capacity of a foe’s break gauge, the easier it will be to break them and use soul burst, which will also replenish your MP.
Expert Jobs
Dark Knight: A job which grants enhanced attack power when on the brink of death. With the unique action souleater, a Dark Knight can sacrifice HP and MP to deal additional dark element damage. This makes it the strongest job in terms of sheer attack power as long as you are willing to pay the price.
Void Knight: A job that lets you catch your enemy’s magical attacks and turn them into power. While a Void Knight’s unique action runic is in use, guarding will deploy a magic circle that neutralises incoming magic attacks and absorbs their power into itself. The void knight can then use this power to replenish MP or unleash it as a slash attack
Ninja: This job allows you to employ various combat tactics with its unique ninjutsu ability. Make use of special ninja tools which allow you to pin down enemies and apply status effects onto weapons without consuming any MP. Ninja tools can be replenished by visiting a cube, the basecamp for your exploration.
Locations
Mount Gulg: A volcano with many perils, such as molten lava which blocks the way, and gas pockets that explode due to the presence of fire magic. It will be hard to reach the summit unless you can stop the lava from gushing out.
The Ancients' Tower: A white building with an unshakeable sense of otherness. Various eerie mechanisms await the unwary intruder, such as devices to trap those who have entered and urn-like objects that float through the air.
The Wicked Arbor: A dense expanse of forest that lies at the foot of the volcano. Moonlight only just manages to peek through the canopy and the area is shrouded in a thick, gaseous miasma. Walls made out of ivy and plants that spit poisonous gas stand in your way.
