NIS America announces Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3 for Nintendo Switch and PC, including La Pucelle: Ragnarok and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure
Serving as the final surprise of New Game+ Expo 2022, NIS America revealed a brand-new installment to its Prinny Presents series with Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3. This time, the two games included in this volume will be La Pucelle: Ragnarok and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure.
This will be the first time La Pucelle: Ragnarok will be released overseas. It was the PlayStation Portable port of La Pucelle: Tactics, but it was enhanced in several ways including a New Game+ mode, an expanded Overlord Prier scenario, new artwork, new endings, new Disgaea crossover characters added, and more! The original La Pucelle: Tactics for PlayStation 2 released in Japan in 2002, in North America in 2004, and in Europe in 2005. Meanwhile, La Pucelle: Ragnarok for the PlayStation Portable later released only in Japan in 2009.
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure originally released on the first PlayStation in Japan in 1998 and later in North America in 2000. A version for the Nintendo DS was later made in 2008 and was significantly different from the PS1 version, such as how battles were now 2D turn-based battles rather than its isometric strategy RPG roots. The version of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure included in Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3 will be based on the PlayStation version.
This newly announced collection follows Volume 1, which saw a re-release of Phantom Brave and Soul Nomad, and Volume 2, which includes Makai Kingdom and Z.H.P.
Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3 is coming to the Nintendo Switch in Summer 2022 and PC via Steam in Fall 2022. While both Steam pages list that only Japanese audio will be included for these re-releases, the press release states English audio will also be included. The official website also mentions a new voice cast for La Pucelle: Ragnarok.
