Rune Factory 5 surpasses 500,000 units sold worldwide

Within its financial results briefing for the full fiscal year, Marvelous has announced [PDF] that Rune Factory 5 has surpassed 500,000 sold worldwide as of March 31, 2022.

Rune Factory 5 originally released in Japan in May 2021, while the western English version was released in March 2022. Gematsu notes that at least 127,968 copies were sold in Japan, based on Famitsu's weekly sales charts.

As a whole, Marvelous' sales and profits are up slightly YoY, with Rune Factory 5 in the Consumer Game Business cited as a key contributor.

Andrea was quite positive in her review for Rune Factory 5, despite some technical shortcomings, stating that the game "still manages to capture bits from the series that keep it enchanting".
