CD Projekt Red has unveiled a new release window for the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. They are now "planned to release" some time in Q4 2022. Today also marks the 7th anniversary of The Witcher 3's initial launch.
Let's make this 7th anniversary even better, shall we?

In April, the developer shared that The Witcher 3's new generation was no longer being outsourced to Saber Interactive, who previously worked on the Nintendo Switch release. Instead, CD Projekt Red "decided to have [their] in-house development team conduct the remaining work". They postponed the PS5 and XS versions to an indefinite date until today.
When The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's PS5 and XS versions were initially announced, it highlighted that the enhanced re-release would support ray tracing and better loading times. This improved version will also see a release on PC and that specific version will receive HDR support too.
CD Projekt Red is also still working on a brand-new entry in The Witcher series that is being developed on Unreal Engine 5.
