Dragon Quest Builders is now available on mobile devices today
Square Enix has launched the first Dragon Quest Builders on the App Store and Google Play today for iOS and Android devices respectively. From May 26 to June 9, the title is on sale at 20% off at $21.99. It was announced at the end of a Dragon Quest 36th anniversary stream, where you can also find series creator Yuji Horii tour the new Dragon Quest Island amusement park in Japan.
The mobile port of Dragon Quest Builders features an overhauled UI to make it easier to play on a touchscreen. It also adds several quality-of-life enhancements, such as ranged placements when building and crafting things in batches. An Undo button was added as well, allowing players to quickly erase any mistakes they have made too.
Dragon Quest Builders initially launched in Japan on January 28, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Its PS4 and Vita versions later made their way to North America on October 11, 2016, followed by Europe three days later. The Nintendo Switch release of the first Dragon Builders arrived on February 9, 2018 worldwide and it launched in Japan later on March 1, 2018.
